Die CD-Serie "Rarities on Compact Disc" ist eine Sonderedition für die Radiostationen in den USA als "Bonus" für die Bezieher der regelmäßigen Shows auf CD! Die Auflagen lagen zwischen 200 und 400 Stück und wurden in Papersleeve verschickt, daher lagen oft nur Cue Sheets zu den Inhalten bei.
Einige CDs hatten bestimmte Gruppen/Interpreten als Inhalt, so wie diese CD. Andere waren Sampler mit verschiedenen Interpreten und Titeln. Es waren aber immer besondere Aufnahmen, insbesondere was die Musikinhalte anging.

Diese CD beinhaltet historische Aufnahmen der Led Zeppelin, teilweise alternative Versionen und auch mal ergänzt um Versionen mit besonderem Charme. Bitte lesen Sie hierzu die Angaben des Booklets.

Diese CD ist ein Original-Exemplar, denn es gibt auch nicht lizensierte Bootlegs von diesen Aufnahmen.

Und noch eine interessante Information: Die Serie besteht aus 20 Compact Disc, was allerdings nicht ganz richtig ist. Die Nummer 13 wurde - sagen wir aus Vorbehalten bezüglich dieser Zahl - nie veröffentlicht.
